666BEAR

Why 666?

My color is red. I love red things. Hell my name is RedSpider, so that should tell you that's my color. However, when I wear red, I have to frequently tell people that, no, it's not because I'm into fisting. I'm not. At all. I just like the color red.

I have to be myself. That means whether or not the things that represent myself have been previously used for other things. And well, 666 is one of those things.

You see, I studied prophecy. I found it to be hilariously stupid. That 666 thing? Yeah, um, it's not a person. It's a number that referred to the Sun.In other words, they feared a solar deity named Mithras, and that Rome would force people to worship Mithras against their will. It's all a bunch of silly bullshit, and I love how superstitiously people freak out when they see the number.

For added giggles, I realized on June 6, 2006 (the date the Omen remake came out because it was on the very date of 6/6/6), I realized it was the exact date of the tenth anniversary of the day I'd been baptized. This amused me.

And then when I actually got the phone number 666-BEAR (and I'm not saying what area code) and loved it. So I used it for my Tumblr account. Then I went to San Francisco and had someone there say, "Whenever I see 666 it usually means people trying to infect themselves or others with HIV." And I was like.....

.................screeeeeeeeeeeeech!!!!!!!!!!!

So folks, no. I'm not into "gift giving" or "bug sharing" or anything like that. A whole shit load of good people have worked their asses off to try to provide protection in bars for free and to do what they can to bring HIV and other STD infections to a halt. Thankfully Prep has us moving towards an AIDS free world.

Is it that I'm a Satanist? I don't even believe in God. You can shout "Hail!" at me, and I'll chuckle, but that's about it. No. I'm just me, and I love all things considered wicked by the self-righteous among us.

It scares all the right people.
